Handling is invisible in a rate
Nothing in a price per kilo tells you how the piece will be packed, who will lift it, or how many times it will be transferred between vehicles before it arrives.
Documentation and value declaration
High value and cultural goods attract scrutiny at customs. Getting the declaration, valuation and paperwork right in advance is what keeps a piece moving instead of sitting in an inspection queue.
